Collectively, the New York State STOP-DWI Coordinators Association facilitates the exchange of ideas and administration of new and innovative approaches for dealing with the drinking/or drug-impaired driver. By electing Jim May as their Association's Chairman, the members obviously recognize Jim May's hard work and dedication to the cause of reducing the rates of drinking and driving and saving lives, said Barbara J. Fiala, Broome County Executive. Jim May is one of the most passionate and dedicated employees Broome County has and I know he will lead the STOP-DWI Association with the same passion and hard work ethic.
I look forward to working with my fellow STOP-DWI coordinators in helping the entire state work towards more effective programs and legislation to deter the drunk or drug impaired driver, said Jim May, STOP-DWI Coordinator. Individually we have good ideas and collectively we need to share those ideas. I look forward to helping the Association develop an even more comprehensive plan for reducing the amount of drinking and driving on our roads and possibly saving even more lives.
