Bus Fare (B.C. Transit Buses)
You can use cash, ride cards or 31-day bus pass swipe cards on all buses on our fixed route system. You can purchase ride cards and 31-day bus pass swipe cards at the B.C. Junction office located at 44 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY, and at the B.C. Transit Administrative Office located at 413 Old Mill Road, Vestal, NY, and at all Giant Market locations. B.C. Transit has various payment options to provide our passengers with the best value offering discounts to students, senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Please note that the information below pertains only to B.C. Transit Buses (fixed route):
Bus Fare
No longer will you need exact fare when riding B.C. Transit. Our fare boxes accept coins, $1, $5, $10, $20 bills in U.S. currency only. If you use more money than is required for a single ride, a change card will eject from the fare box, providing you with full or partial fare for your next ride(s).

* To qualify for reduced fare, upon boarding the bus, the passenger must show a validated Office for Aging Card or validated handicap identification card. Office for the Aging Cards are available at all OFA senior community centers and at the OFA office found on the 4th floor of the Broome County Office Building 44 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY. Persons with disabilities must visit the Broome County Security Division located at the Broome County Office Building at 44 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY during the office hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you cannot come during these walk-in times please call the Broome County Security Division at 607.778.2107. The security division asks that you bring proof of the disability and a picture ID.
Ride Passes
Ride passes deduct one ride upon each use.

Transfers
Transfers are valid for 1 hour after time of issue and can be used only at designated transfer points on the fixed route system.

*** Purchaser must be a full time student 12 or more credit hours for college, or 6 or more hours each day in GED or classes elementary/secondary school.
Working parents with dependent children may qualify for a free W.E.R.C. pass.
